\nArmin van Buuren<\/a> strikes again with another pulsating release titled “Need You Now,” featuring the vocals of former X-Factor <\/em>winner and fellow Dutch singer-songwriter, Jake Reese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Need You Now” characterizes van Buuren’s extended take on modern progressive sound through ricocheting basslines, radiant melodies, and Reese’s hypnotic, detuned vocals. Reese, known offstage as Jaap Reesema, is a former contestant and winner of the 2010 season of X-Factor<\/em>, and has collaborated both as a co-writer and a singer with Hardwell<\/a>, David Guetta<\/a>, Showtek<\/a>, KSHMR<\/a>, and Dash Berlin<\/a>, among others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n van Buuren said of the release,<\/p>\n\n\n\n “You don\u2019t always know when the inspiration for a song may come, but it struck me full force when I heard Jake Reese\u2019s vocals and lyrics for this single. I love how the story hits home so strongly, and got lost in the vocal melody right away. It helped the track come alive very organically and I am very pleased with how it turned out.
