KAYTRANADA<\/a> has shared an eclectic rework of Sade<\/a>‘s 1988 single, “Love Is Stronger Than Pride,” convening elements of lounge and chill-out on his contemporary rinse of the Sade original.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Love Is Stronger Than Pride” is KAYTRANADA’s second unofficial remix of the English singer, with the Toronto producer having previously shared his “Kiss of Life<\/a>” edit in 2018. His latest features a lush mix of R&B inflection, basslines, guitar melodies, and intricate drum patterns, which comprise a blissful atmosphere for Sade’s serene vocals. The impromptu edit pays direct homage to the contemporary R&B genre as the track includes a melismatic vocal arrangement over the electronically influenced beat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The edit follows KAYTRANADA’s “NIKE SHOE BOX<\/a>” collaboration with his brother Lou Phelps<\/a>, his remix of Dua Lipa<\/a>‘s “Don’t Start Now<\/a>,” and the instrumental version<\/a> of his sophomore album, BUBBA<\/a><\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
