After being recruited by Martin Garrix&#8217;s label not once, not twice, but three times in 2021\u2014on &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/dancingastronaut.com\/2021\/02\/premiere-bleu-clair-and-ootoro-reconfirm-theyre-house-musics-future-with-beat-like-this-on-stmpd-rcrds\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Beat Like This<\/a>,&#8221; &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/dancingastronaut.com\/2021\/06\/ootoro-hits-tech-house-sweet-spot-on-debut-stmpd-rcrds-solo-cut-breaking-away\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Breaking Away,<\/a>&#8221; and &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/dancingastronaut.com\/2021\/11\/ootoro-sees-through-stmpd-rcrds-release-trilogy-on-a-tech-house-hybrid-maniac\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Manic<\/a>&#8220;\u2014the former <em>Dancing Astronaut <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/dancingastronaut.com\/2021\/12\/dancing-astronauts-artists-to-watch-in-2022\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Artist to Watch<\/a> is finally back on STMPD RCRDS after a year and a half. And that came in the form of &#8220;something special&#8221;\u2014as STMPD RCRDS described it\u2014with OOTORO following up his <em><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/313gNQgl3bMOnCDLW58LaA?si=mCy1orflR7Svi4LbA1xjwg\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Illegal Mixtape Vol. 4<\/a><\/em> showing with &#8220;Telefon.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Telefon&#8221; had actually been four years in the making, with OOTORO coming across an Indonesian vocal from a Erramono Soekarjo release that he immediately knew deserved to be reimagined. Fast forward to present day, that idea has been officially realized. And OOTORO was able to simultaneously pay homage to his Indonesian heritage while re-employing the original track with his own unequaled brand of inspired tech-house, making for a welcome return back to STMPD RCRDS.
