The autobiography will encompass\u00a0the first ten years of his career, from the late 1980s to the recording of his 1999 album <em>Play<\/em>. Some of the subject matter comprises\u00a0his relocation\u00a0to New York\u2019s East Village in the midst of the crack cocaine and AIDS epidemic, and his \u201cunique vantage point as a white vegan in a predominantly black and Hispanic art form.\u201d Discographically, the time frame includes <em>Everything is Wrong<\/em>\u00a0and Moby\u2019s ill-fated foray into punk rock <em>Animal Rights<\/em>.<\/p><p>The work has already earned impressive accolades from established authors. Salman Rushdie remarks, \u201cthe writing is terrific, enlivened by a deadpan humor that makes crazy sense of it all.
