Brodinski’s well-esteemed Bromance imprint has garnered popularity by curating a range of innovative releases across techno, house, hip hop and a variety of digressions within and akin to the aforementioned genres. To highlight the diversity of the Bromance roster, the label established the\u00a0Homieland<\/em> compilation series.<\/p>

The second volume in the series is now available to the public, and registers more as an album than a compilation due to its abundance of unreleased music. Brodinski’s camp characterizes\u00a0Homieland<\/em> as “a playground for Bromance artists and friends, a land of free expression abiding by no laws, rules or genres and\u00a0released from the constraints of an EP or album format.”<\/span><\/p>

Homieland, Vol.2\u00a0<\/em>features releases from a number of Bromance’s major players, including Maelstrom, Gener8ion, all the individual members of Club Cheval, and Brodinski himself. Two standouts from the compilation are\u00a0“Arteries” by Maelstrom and “Quarrel,” by Bromance newcomer Adam. In “Arteries,”\u00a0the RAAR label-head purveys a caustically thumping\u00a0techno vision, while Adam pits stridently metallic synths against\u00a0cerebral LFOs to achieve a quarrelsome dissonance in his aptly titled track. Brodinski’s Homieland<\/em>\u00a0contribution, “Woah,” is a collaboration with rapper Shy Glizzy, which balances ominous instrumentation with silly lyricism, encapsulating the playful theme of\u00a0Homieland<\/em>.<\/p>
