Iceland has always been known for breathtaking scenery, and although it’s a remote and sparsely populated place — the least densely populated country in Europe — extremely cheap flights over recent years have made the country much more accessible. As if foreigners\u00a0needed more reason to visit, the country’s leading\u00a0music festival Secret Solstice<\/a>\u00a0has been putting on some extraordinary events, such as the world’s first rave inside a glacier<\/a> and concert inside a volcano<\/a>.<\/p>

The main Secret Solstice event takes place over the summer solstice in June, when the sun shines 24 hours a day, and last year featured world-class talent such as Radiohead<\/a>, Deftones, Jamie Jones<\/a>, Skream<\/a>, and Die Antwoord<\/a>. The first phase lineup for the 2017 event, which will take place June 16-18, was just announced, and with it, one of the world’s most unique festivals looks to meet and exceed previous years.<\/p>

So far, the\u00a0headliners that will\u00a0play “under the Midnight Sun” in 2017 include Foo Fighters, The Prodigy<\/a>, Dubfire<\/a>, Dusky<\/a>, and Foreign Beggars<\/a>.
