Flume\u00a0has taken out the #1 spot in triple j’s Hottest 100\u00a0with his hit Never Be Like You<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The widely-tipped Amy Shark came in second in this year’s poll with her track Adore<\/em>, while Tash Sultana made it to #3 with Jungle<\/em>. Hilltop Hoods and Childish Gambino rounded out the top five, with DMA’s, Illy, The Weeknd\u00a0and Peking Duk\u00a0all featuring in the top ten.<\/p>\n

Haryley Streten’s victory marks the first time ever<\/em> <\/a><\/strong>a dance track has claimed the top spot in triple j’s annual poll.\u00a0The only other dance act to come close to claiming the honour for dance music is Peking Duk, who were tipped to take out the 2014 poll with their breakthrough track High,\u00a0<\/em>but\u00a0ended up placing second to\u00a0Chet Faker.\u00a0<\/em>Flume’s tracks Lose It<\/em>, Smoke & Retribution<\/em> and Say It<\/em> all also placed in this year’s poll.<\/p>\n

As for how dance music fared further down the list?\u00a0What So Not’s remix of RUFUS tune Innerbloom<\/em> made it to #30, while Mura Masa hit #13 with A$AP Rocky collab’ Love$ick\u00a0<\/em>and Pnau just missed the top ten with Chameleon<\/em> placing at #11.<\/p>\n
