It’s been a while since we’ve heard from the Canadian half of TNGHT, and Lunice shows the reason for his hiatus with “Can’t Wait To,” a refreshing and intense take on trap that was certainly worth the wait. Once again sporting the authenticity of the genre that Lunice has always worn, thumping kicks furiously battle with a sharp vocal chop that rings throughout the production. The mixing is absolutely flawless throughout the work, resulting in a well balanced and insanely clear highlight of each special instrument used in the taste of the Montreal sound. The release comes complete with a music video from the LuckyMe star, which mounts a collection of Lunice’s familiar hype-man moves into music video form. Hopefully Lunice will not duck back into the darkness: it’s a waning moon for TNGHT, and Lunice holds a candle of light in the darkness of trap.
