On Labor Day weekend, Electric Zoo will return to New York’s Randall’s Island for a three-day dance music marathon. Now the festival’s organizers Made Event have revealed the 2014 set times, so it’s time to get planning.
The three-day festival has recruited some A-list talent to fill out its two main stages and accompanying tents from August 29 to 31. Headliners David Guetta, Nicky Romero, Armin van Buuren, Knife Party, Jack U and Kaskade have a strong support cast, while the bass-heavy Hilltop Arena welcomes Figure, Keys N Krates, GRiZ and more.
For house and techno heads, it’s all about the Sunday School Grove, where scene legends like Sasha, Danny Tenaglia, Dubfire and Chris Liebing will set the tone all weekend long. New this year is the Vinyl Only arena; earlier this summer, the stage made its unofficial debut at Mysteryland USA when MADE Event hosted a Sunday School mini-fest.
The Riverside tent keeps it varied, beginning with Jamie xx, Gesaffelstein and Bonobo on Friday, handing over to trance and progressive on Saturday, before Chase & Status and co. deliver the bass lover’s big finish. Check out the set times over at Electric Zoo’s official website.
2014 also sees an overhaul of the festival’s safety protocol. Following the tragic events of 2013, the festival will see more stringent security measures in place, including - for the first time – requiring attendees to watch an anti-drug PSA online in order to activate their wristbands.
