Apple Music is leaving 2020 in its rearview with an applaudable power move. The streaming giant has made the leap into the world of hosting official DJ mixes this year, tasking everything from Boiler Room‘s exhaustive catalog to Tomorrowland Around The World performances, and Apple Music has now rounded up an eclectic 21-person roster of electronic royalty to curate exclusive New Year’s Eve sets.
Pulling out all of the stops to close the doors on a 12-month run that most would love to forget, Apple Music brought out Madeon, Lane 8, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Carl Cox, Charlotte de Witte, Disclosure, CamelPhat, Chris Lake, Channel Tres, TSHA, Jamie Jones, Honey Dijon, and The Blessed Madonna, among a handful of others, for respective one-hour marathons of music that reflects their sentiments surrounding both this past year and the promise ahead in 2021.
Altogether, the hand-picked Apple Music curators touch each end of the electronic music spectrum and everything in between. Each producer on the lineup puts forth a distinctive hour, running all the way from the Good Faith author’s 63-minute set to Carl Cox’s blistering house and techno selections down to Dancing Astronaut‘s 2020 Artist of the Year champion, Lane 8, and even one of our 2021 Artists to Watch, TSHA.
