MARTA unloads gritty tech-house cut ‘World of The Rave’Marta WOTR PRESSP 2002

Toronto’s own MARTA steps into the spotlight with her latest weapon, “World of The Rave,” a gritty, after hours-primed tech-house record that hits with the force of a warehouse subwoofer at 4 a.m.

Out now via LA-based Funkshway Records, “World of The Rave” pulls listeners deep into a 90s-inspired trip, channeling the shadows where underground culture thrives. Pounding drums and acid-soaked basslines collide with distorted vocal warnings about rave culture, paying homage to MARTA’s formative years and the raw influences pushing her sound toward edgier, darker terrain.

“This track is a tribute to the roots of rave culture, undisclosed locations, gritty energy, and the kind of night where music is everything,” MARTA shares in a press release.

The result is an unflinching, sweat-drenched warehouse experience in audio form; rebellious, immersive, and dripping with the sacred chaos that defines the underground.

With “World of The Rave”, MARTA marks a bold new chapter in her discography. Named as one of Dancing Astronaut’s Artists to Watch in 2025, she’s wasted no time proving the title right, racking up high-profile billings and selling out her debut hometown headline at Toronto’s legendary CODA Nightclub.

Catch her bringing this energy to the stage at Toronto’s Electric Island and opening Montréal’s îLESONIQ August 9–10.
