Armin van Buuren added to EMC 2015 line-up

Category: EDM NEWS

With less than one week to go until the Electronic Music Conference kicks off for 2015, dance megastar Armin van Buuren has been added to the speaker line-up.

Armin will be joining the likes of Kid Kenobi, Will Sparks and more to discuss the growing trend of artists founding their own labels at a special panel on day one of the conference. As the head of tastemaker imprint Armada Music, he’s perfectly positioned to comment on the struggles and benefits of mentoring new artists and being your own label head.

Additionally, two Australian-bred, globe-conquering artists have just been added to the speaker list: OWSLA recruit What So Not and trance hero MaRLo will both be stepping up for panels, as will local star Hot Dub Time Machine.

They’re not the only bigs name on the bill. Carl Cox, Gilles Peterson, Ta-Ku, Tkay Maidza, Timmy Trumpet, The Presets and stacks more artists are already locked in for EMC 2015, alongside the dance music industry’s biggest power-players. All up, over 180 speakers will appear across 40 panels, sessions and production masterclasses at EMC, with another 25 of Australia’s best new dance acts soundtracking EMCPlay, the biggest party of the year.

The full EMC program will be revealed from today through the conference website.

EMC goes down next week on December 1-2 at Sydney’s ivy complex. To be there, grab a last minute pass now. To see Armin van Buuren behind the decks, head to Stereosonic.
