Hardwell to perform at charity event at United Nations HQ

Category: EDM NEWS

It’s clear that Hardwell is not satisfied with international stardom and being a permanent fixture on the biggest main stages around the world. The Dutch producer established his United We Are Foundation — sharing its name with his debut album — in December 2015 that drew 70,000 fans in Mumbai, India to support children’s education. That large turnout, likely combined with Hardwell’s massive visibility, has led to the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to invite Hardwell to perform at United Nations Headquarters in New York City.

The Johan Cruyff Foundation, founded by the famed Dutch soccer player, also played a part in coordinating the event. The event will explore, among other things, the effect soccer has had in spreading peace in the world. Hardwell will perform a set at the event’s closing reception on Friday, June 16.
