Tomorrowland considering expanding to two weekends in 2017

Although its sister festival TomorrowWorld met its demise earlier this year, Tomorrowland is set to run for the twelfth time in Belgium from July 22-24. As a matter of course, this year’s production will seek to build on and exceed the spectacle of years past but, according to reports, the festival has even bigger plans in store for 2017.

Tomorrowland is allegedly in discussion with Belgian authorities to get clearance to expand the festival to two weekends in 2017. Although this isn’t the first time the festival has occupied two weekends — the tenth anniversary festival in 2014 was also a two-weekend affair to celebrate the occasion — fans of one of Europe’s most legendary festivals will certainly be excited by the prospect of such expansion.
